Lake Pepin Loop

A very pretty/Scenic ride around Lake Pepin.

Starts in a parking lot/ boat launch area just across the WI border at the intersection of US 63 and 825th St. Park in the back of the lot to avoid the boaters.

This route takes you through the very scenic towns of Maiden Rock, Stockholm, Pepin, Wabasha, Nelson, Lake City, and Red Wing, where services such as food, water and antiques are easily available. This is a great summer or fall ride. In the spring, it can be quite cool, especially if the lake/river is still frozen. Climbing is moderate with only one long climb out of Bay City and some steeper (but short) rollers between Wabasha and Lake City.

Traffic in Lake City and Red Wing could be heavy. Motocycle traffic on the WI side could be loud on summer adn fall days. Otherwise, traffic is fairly light.
